Position Overview:

Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with product inquiries and order placement, offering knowledgeable and friendly service.
- Promote our custom metal panels, signs, cutting services, and related products to potential and existing clients.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of our product offerings, including the impact of laser cutting on various materials.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Manage incoming leads from social media and online platforms.
- Attend to customer queries in-person, via phone, and email.
- Process quotes, invoices, and track orders using our internal systems.
- Participate in sales meetings and contribute to strategy development.
- Maintain and update client records in the CRM system.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales, preferably in a manufacturing or related industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn and understand metal fabrication processes and products.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Odoo) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred.
- Team player with a positive attitude.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and eager-to-learn Metal Fabrication Assistant to join our growing team at Quick Metal Shop. The ideal candidate will assist in various stages of the metal fabrication process, including loading metal sheets, sanding panels, and learning to operate cutting-edge optic fiber laser technology. In addition to supporting the fabrication process, the candidate will also have the opportunity to learn essential skills such as powder coating and welding. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a desire to grow within the metal fabrication industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with loading and unloading metal sheets and materials into laser cutting machines.
- Sand, grind, and prepare metal panels and parts for final finishing.
- Support experienced technicians in fabricating metal components and parts.
- Learn to operate and maintain optic fiber laser cutting machines.
- Learn powder coating techniques to apply finishes to metal parts and products.
- Assist in welding tasks and learn basic welding techniques from experienced welders.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Inspect materials for quality control and report any issues to senior staff.
- Help with assembly and installation of fabricated products such as signs and displays.
- Follow detailed work instructions and blueprints to meet project specifications.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of metalworking tools and machinery (preferred but not required).
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills in metal fabrication and laser cutting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures in a workshop setting.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment (a plus but not required).
